Daily Devotional Entry#32:


I am Found- “I will be found by you,” says the Lord. “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land.” Jeremiah 29: 14 [NIV]


Q & A?:


When the familiar closeness to the Divine seems to fade, and a sense of distance settles in, how do we intentionally reconnect and draw near once more?


My answer:


There are times on this journey when the vibrant connection we feel with the Lord, that comforting sense of His nearness, can seem to dim. It's a human experience, a feeling that the beacon of light has drifted further away. In those moments, the path back often begins with an intentional turning inward.



Like stilling the waters of a turbulent lake to see the reflection clearly, I find myself drawn to practices that cultivate inner peace. Meditation becomes a sanctuary, a space to quiet the clamor of the world and the anxieties of the mind. Closing my eyes, whether in a posture of prayer or simply seeking alignment with the universe's gentle rhythm, helps to create that inner stillness. It's in emptying the mental space of its clutter – the worries, the to-do lists, the external noise – that a deeper listening can begin.



This silencing of mind, body, and heart isn't always immediate or easy. It requires patience, a consistent practice of gently guiding the attention back to the present moment. But within that quietude, a space opens where I can more clearly perceive the whispers of my own higher spirit, that divine spark within, and the loving guidance of our Father in Heaven. It's like tuning a radio to the right frequency; the signal was always there, but the interference needed to be cleared.



It is through this conscious drawing near, this persistent effort to cultivate inner stillness, that I reaffirm my dependence on the Lord. In serving Him, and in those inevitable times when I feel lost, confused, or misled, this inner connection becomes my compass. I call to Him, remembering the fundamental truth: there is none above or before Him. Our Father's love is a constant, a light that seeks us out even in the deepest shadows.



Thank you, Lord, for being our unwavering beacon of light. Thank you for Your protection against negative influences and for guiding us through the darkness. May Your presence be glorified in our lives and homes. To those reading this, may you always be found by His love, and may you always find your way back to His embrace. Amen.
